LONDRES ACOGE UNA PRESENTACIÓN DE LA INICIATIVA CELTIC SPAIN GOLF&WELLNESS
11 September 2018 - The Galician Centre in London hosted a working meeting between Galician businessmen and those responsible for 8 London golf courses with the aim of presenting them with the CELTIC SPAIN GOLF&WELLNESS initiative, created with the aim of making Galicia known in the British market as the perfect destination for enjoying a combined package of golf, thermalism and gastronomy. Throughout three days of stay the Galician businessmen had the opportunity to know better the facilities of the 8 London golf clubs Stockley Park Golf Club, Finchley Golf Club, Ealing Golf Club, Wycombe Heights Golf Club, Century Golf, Sudbury Golf Club, Indian Golf Society and Spanish Golf Club while the last day of the commercial mission was destined to the presentation of the initiative Celtic Spain Golf&Wellness.
This presentation was presided over by Nicolás Miño, president of the Galician Centre in London and the presentations were given by María Sanzol, commercial director of Abramar Viajes; Simón Villamayor, representative of the Real Aeroclub de Santiago and Javier de la Cerda, general secretary of Galicia Destino Golf.
Sanzol was in charge of locating Galicia, within Europe and Spain, as well as discovering to the assistants a destination of golf and different health that combines the practice of this sport with the benefits that the spas can contribute to the golfers and their companions. With special emphasis on the opportunity offered by having direct flights to London from the 3 Galician airports, the Abramar representative highlighted Galician gastronomy and tourist packages combining golf with hotels/sports that are within the initiative (Oca Hotels, Hotel Carlos I Silgar, Oca Augas Santas Balneario Golf & Resort, Hotel Balneario Laias Caldaria, Termas de Cuntis, Balneario de Mondariz and Balneario Eurostars Gran Hotel La Toja).
The representative of the Real Aeroclub de Santiago, for his part, spoke of the diversity of the 15 golf courses that we have in Galicia, ideal for the practice of golf, without waiting nor agglomerations and more in depth of the 6 courses that participate in the project: Real Areoclub de Santiago; Oca Augas Santas; Real Montealegre Golf Club; Campo de Golf Meis; Golf Balneario de Mondariz and Golf Ría de Vigo, as well as presenting the CELTIC SPAIN GOLF & WELLNESS website and the recent section of the Real Aeroclub de Santiago website in English.
Fam trip in October Finally Javier de la Cerda, general secretary of Galicia Destino Golf, highlighted the special conditions of the correspondence agreements of the 6 Galician golf clubs with the London golf clubs that attended the working table, without prejudice that these agreements may be extended to other golf clubs in Galicia as well as to other clubs in the United Kingdom. He also referred to the new product GALICIA GOLF PASS to acquire chequebooks of gren fee (outings to the field) through the website of CELTIC SPAIN GOLF & WELLNESS. At the end of the working day, attendees could enjoy a typical Galician meal in the restaurant of the Galician Center in London.
The next stage of this initiative will consist of a Fam Trip so that 7 representatives of these English clubs can know first hand Galicia, its golf courses and spas next October.
